Against the Stereotype
Unlike the original story of Tiga Dara, Ini Kisah Tiga Dara is considered as another rebellious work from the Direector, as it portraits single Indonesian girls into a more modern perspective; independent, free-spirited, and perhaps against some stereotypes.
Music Video and Song
All actress and actors in this movie were singing and dancing by themselves, no dubbing, no stand-in. Musics were composed and arranged by Aghi Narottama and Bemby Gusti. The song Tiga Dara and Matriarch are so well received in Japan and Singapore that the audiences -most of the time- asked the actress to sing it live after the film presentation. There are two songs from the classic Tiga Dara that were included in the film's OST album; Senandung Lagu Lama, and of course - another Saiful Bahri's classic song; Tiga Dara.
